Ball Python Breeding

Today, I am going to talk to you about Ball Pythons and their Breeding.

Ball Pythons reach their sexual maturity at around three years old or about 1000+ grams. The ideal weight for a breeding Ball Python is 1500+ grams. At this weight they are more likely to lay more eggs. In the Herpetology, we call eggs a clutch. Each female is different in that they do not lay the same amount from one to another. A normal clutch of eggs is around 6-7. A female in prime condition can lay around 10-12 eggs.

Breeding season in Ball Pythons starts when the temperatures drops and the Moisture level increases. I keep my temps at about 85 during the day and about 75 at night. This time usually occurs around November, and lasts till around January. Eggs are usually hatched out around April to May. Most breeders will artificially incubate the eggs to control temps and moisture better, although some will leave the eggs with the female to hatch them out. The problem with this method is it's hard to control the environment.

The overall time it takes from copulation to birth is about 7 months 21 days. This varies though, with when your introducing the female to the male and when you start changing the environment.

I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any further questions, visit our site. You will find some additional facts there as well as snakes, and books for sale. While visiting the site be sure to become a member of the Ball Python Forum.

Handwriting Tells a Story About You

Ever wonder what someones handwriting or signature might reveal about them? Just like a scale reports weight, a persons handwriting tells a story about the health and traits of the writer. You've probably seen handwriting that is full of loops and circles and thought it seems soft and maybe feminine. And you've seen knotted sharp handwriting that is not only hard to read but it looks like an angry statement.

Over the years the analysis of handwriting has advanced. There's much that can be learned from the slant, the style and the pressure of the written note or the signature on the page. You probably can tell when someone seems happy, or upset or getting angry. Those same expressions of emotion and character are revealed by handwriting. Wouldn't it be fun to know what handwriting tells us? Some people do, and they use that information to make better decisions about people and actions.

RESOURCE GUIDE: http://meaning-of-handwriting.5x1.net

Your handwriting tells people about you. And it tells much more about you than merely the words you have written might convey. I was always curious about this myself but never found anything that could help me learn and better understand what a persons signature or handwriting was really telling me. It's a bit like not being able to understand the full message. With a little time and fun, I've found that understanding handwriting is a bit like having x-ray vision. You get to see into other people more fully. Sometimes that's good news and other times it gives pause. Words alone don't tell the whole story. Understanding the message of the handwriting adds another level of meaning. Is it worth it? If you like to know the truth, if you like to understand who you're dealing with, it sure is.

Science Fair Project - 9 Must Know Tasks To An A Plus

It is that time of the year and your teacher hands out a piece of paper to take home that states the next class assignment is a science fair project and is due in a few weeks.

You may have already picked out a project to do but if not try all the following steps:

1. Originality Is Key!

Your teachers or whoever judges the science fair projects will look for new ideas that are being presented to them. They do not want to see the old stale information from last year. You could definitely think of something that could fix a problem you have in your house or with a product.

2. Prepare

Now that you have the idea it is important to do the project good and you will not do it well if you do not prepare first.

3. Project You

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. The kids come home and hand their parents the paper and expect their mom or dad to give them an idea, get the materials, set up the experiment and do the project. They tell their child what happened and give them the experiment to take to school. No way! This is why you are doing a science project to learn something about science and what better way than to do the experiment yourself.

4. What Are You Doing?

If you have a good idea does your project have clear cut steps to prove your theory? If not you may just be treading water. Keep it simple and understandable and make sure it solves a question or solution.

6. Do You Know It?

When you present the experiment and its outcome to your teacher are you knowledgeable? If they ask a question can you tell them the answer without being goofy? You need to know the information about your project. Your teacher will be impressed and you will actually learn something if you truly know everything about your science experiment. Make sure to do a project that you will be able to understand. If it is really complicated and you still do not understand the concept when you are done then maybe it is too old for you. You need to understand the science level you are trying to accomplish.

7. Answer The Question

Did you answer the question you determined in your hypothesis? If you have shown a science project make sure it works and proves the hypothesis or disproves it.

8. Documentation and Evidence

Give all informational support about the answer you generated in the experiment. You have to prove what you are saying and doing is correct so have back up information to show them.

9. Do Something You Like and Put Yourself Into It

You need to pick a topic that you like and put enough time into the project. If you quickly jot down the science information it will show so pick something you like and will spend time doing and researching to prove a point. Your teacher will see your hard work.

Hope your next science fair project is successful when you follow these steps.

Science, Technology, Biology And Our Future

A new era of science has begun. Starting now, and lasting for at least the next 15 years, many discoveries will be made and found at an incredible rate. Of course we will have incredible discoveries 15 years out, but right now marks a particular point in our history within science and technology that will shape our lives for many years ahead, and will revolutionize our thinking. Here are just a few of those things that will change the world.

Within the past year a new form of stem cell research has begun. Stem cell research has always been riddled with controversy because of the need for human embryos. A new technique is being perfected that allows scientists to take the skin cells off of a patient and essentially transform them into stem cells (this has currently only been done on animals). With a patient's own stem cells now (from the patients skin, no embryos needed) available they can then convert them into any cell in the body and replicate them. This is huge, and advancements can come quickly now because human embryos aren't needed and politics won't get in the way.

Recently The Large Hadron Collider project announced it's soon-to-be completion. They installed the last major part in this huge under ground particle accelerator. Scientists are hoping by bashing elements and atoms at near light speeds they can unravel many of the mysteries in science and quantum mechanics. The Large Hadron Collider will possibly tell us if there are other dimensions, and possibly make Michio Kaku happy by also letting us know if strings do exist (sub atomic scale) and if String Theory is fact.

Lastly, we are also entering a new telescope type era. The Large Binocular Telescope has officially announced its competition. It has two 8.4 meter mirrors to view the night sky like never before. It will have ten times the resolution of the Hubble Telescope. Coming up we have the Kepler Mission which will look at 100,000 stars and look for earth-like planets in space. We also have the Giant Magellan Telescope, and The Thirty Meter Telescope (Major Funding By Gordon Moore) slated form completion by 2015.

Within the next 10 years these telescopes will be able to confirm if there are truly rocky earth-like worlds out there with the ingredients for life. Our new science is telling us that at least a quarter of all stars have planets orbiting them. Considering that there are about 400 billion stars in our galaxy, and at least 100 billion galaxies, the odds are great for earth-like planets to be around. We already have confirmed multiple rocky slightly larger than earth planets in the habitable zone. With our new technology and telescopes we can see just how many there are, and exactly what their atmospheres are made out of.

Going a step further. It's possible we will make one of the biggest discoveries of all time within the next 20 years if we continue at the rate of technological advancement that we are going at. We may possibly know the answer to if there is other life out there, not from earth. I personally believe it could simply be there is or isn't, but the scientific community is saying within 15-20 years we may finally have an answer.

Concluding. We are making huge advancements in medicine, technology, space, and other areas. It's interesting to see how far we have come as a civilization. Hopefully along with our advancements we still realize how important the simple things are and keep our earth healthy and clean. It is an exciting future, enjoy the ride.
